Hello! One of my favorite little things recently was with Charlotte. We were on the way back to our hostel while traveling abroad, and we got caught in a heavy rainstorm. We had missed the bus, it was a long walk uphill, and it was pouring rain. We were drenched, but didn't let this spoil the evening, and danced the whole way back up the hill swinging each other around and splashing in every puddle we could. What could have been a mood kill was turned to a highlight of the day, and a reminder to look for the best in whatever life throws at you.

I was recently in Europe, and while abroad, I rediscovered the art of a slow morning. I would start each day by enjoying a slow breakfast with my family. Cappuccino in hand, we would relish in the fresh air and note the calm sounds that came from nature and sometimes from the excitement of a city. I found great joy in these slow mornings as the peacefulness lingered throughout each day and I moved with both intention and a deeper appreciation for what the day had to offer!

Something that brought me joy lately was taking the time to appreciate the quiet moments and observing the world around me through the lens of art.

You know that feeling when you want to hit the restart button because everything feels overwhelming? This is my restart button. A moment where everything stops and I can take deep breaths, giving myself time to reflect and figure out a way to approach life situations. This school year was hard, my roommates weren't the best, and I just felt lost. This was a moment where I had to take a moment to step back and look back at all the amazing things that had happened and what amazing things were to come. It wasn't easy, but I have to remember that life is too short to let one negative thing control my future. Everything that happens in life shapes you to be the best person you can be. So one negative thing does not outweigh all of the amazing and wonderful things that are going to happen. Each step of life is just the beginning of a new story.
